This new toe-lasting machine uses (just like its larger counterpart, the Nova 4 IP Master) two programmable injectors for the application of thermoplastic adhesive to the toe, ball area, and waist joint, instead of a ‘traditional’ injector. The two programmable injectors, controlled by the CNC, apply the thermoplastic glue to the toe, ball area, and waist joint in a precise and uniform manner, following the programmed profile. These programmable injectors completely eliminate the use of traditional injectors and, therefore, avoid the need to replace the entire injector or just the nozzle when changing lasts. This reduces both the downtime associated with frequent last changes and the costs incurred for the various equipment required to process numerous different last shapes.
High adhesive application speed is ensured by a specific sequence and the latest generation of brushless motors used for injector movement. This system makes the difference in execution speed virtually imperceptible compared to machines equipped with traditional injectors (whose main strength is indeed their high application speed).
Particular attention has been paid to the programming system. Thanks to the color TOUCH SCREEN display featured on the Nova 4 SR I/P Smart, both programming and operation are simple and intuitive. All parameters related to the machine and the last being processed can be monitored, with access to programming functions via simple commands. Furthermore, the display consistently provides instructions that guide the operator in performing all procedures correctly.
These new injectors, together with the new Touch Screen display, 100 storable programs, and the features already available on the Nova 4 Master series—such as automatic pincer position adjustment and the quick-change pincer system, etc.—make the Nova 4 SR I/P Smart a toe-and-forepart lasting machine particularly suited for high-quality men’s, women’s, and children’s footwear. It is ideal for shoe factories where daily production involves a wide variety of models, lasts, and materials. Finally, its exceptional flexibility makes it perfect for use in contract manufacturing assembly lines.
